Animal Control Services
The Humane Society of Henderson County is proud to partner with both the City of Henderson and Henderson County to provide professional Animal Control services. Our Animal Control Officers (ACOs) play a vital role in keeping our community safe and ensuring the well-being of animals.
What We Do:
-
Respond to Emergencies: Our team handles urgent situations involving stray, injured, or distressed animals.
-
Address Dangerous Animals: We respond to reports of aggressive or potentially dangerous pets to protect both residents and other animals.
-
Investigate Neglect and Cruelty: ACOs work closely with law enforcement to investigate cases of abuse or neglect and pursue justice for animals.
-
Assist Lost Pets: We help reunite lost pets with their families whenever possible.
-
Community Education: Our officers provide guidance on responsible pet ownership, local ordinances, and animal welfare.

Every call we answer reflects our commitment to creating a safer, more compassionate community for people and pets alike.
