We understand that surrendering a pet is never an easy decision. Our goal is to make this process as stress-free as possible for both you and your animal, while ensuring every pet receives the care they deserve.

Space is Limited - Our shelter operates at or near capacity most of the time. Because of this, we accept owner surrenders only as space becomes available.

Wait List System - We maintain a wait list for owner surrenders. This helps us prioritize and plan for incoming pets responsibly.
How It Works

Complete the Owner Surrender Application using the links below.

Application Review - Our team will review your application and add you to the wait list.

Approval & Scheduling - When space becomes available, you’ll receive an email confirming approval and instructions to schedule an appointment.

Pay the owner surrender fee - You will receive a payment link to pay the applicable owner surrender fee. That must be paid by your appointment.​​

Appointment Day - Bring your pet to the shelter at the scheduled time. Please bring any medical records, favorite items, and information that will help us care for your pet.
